Academy Course Directors
For each dual-enrollment course offered by GW SMHS, an Academy Course Director is selected from within the four academic departments of GW Health Sciences. The Academy Course Director oversees the course and partners with the teacher to ensure the course meets GW’s rigorous academic standards. The Academy Course Director approves the textbook selection and syllabus, participates in curriculum decisions such as content development and revisions, course review, and other assessment and evaluation activities. The Academy Course Directors lead discipline-specific professional development and conduct classroom observations.
