Newly accepted students to the Governor’s Health Sciences Academy (Academy) are required to attend an annual Summer Bridge Program.
The program features an introduction to the Academy’s six health profession pathways (biomedical informatics, medical laboratory sciences, sports medicine, emergency medical services, nursing, and surgical technology), information on life as a GW student, and academic preparedness and study skills for college-level coursework.
The Summer Bridge Program is held over two-week in mid-July. Students are able to attend the program in-person at the King Street campus or online through asynchronous recorded sessions.
More information on the Summer Bridge Program is available to current students in the Governor’s Health Sciences Academy Blackboard Community.
